Treatment and Service

A combination of structure, nurturing, and therapy help the girls achieve success at We Care Treatment Center.  During a child’s stay, treatment staff focuses on treating a variety of behavioral and/or emotional problems, such as aggressive behaviors, self-harming behaviors, destructive behaviors, attachment issues, non-compliance, social skills and relationship building, sexually problematic behaviors, anger control and self-esteem building.

 

Services provided include:

·       24 hour supervision and treatment

·       Training in social and daily living skills

·       Family and sibling visitation

·       Behavior modification and cognitive problem solving

·       Therapeutic recreation

·       Community skills

·       Individual, group and family therapy

·       Art therapy

·       Educational services through charter or public schools

·       Off-campus GED Program

·       Religious values and education

·       Recreational activities at the local YMCA

·       Horse therapy

·       Substance abuse therapy

·       Parenting classes for pregnant teenagers

·       Summer school

·       Transition and aftercare services

 

Clinical Services

Licensed Professional Counselors provide oversight for each child’s treatment program therapeutic interventions and case management services. Services include parent training, assessment, and individual, group, and family counseling and psychotherapy.

 

Spiritual Development

Spiritual development services are also available to the children who desire religious education. Both the child and the child’s parent or guardian must consent for the child to participate in religious education and worship experiences. Spiritual development services respect the religious background of each child.
